The Guinness Archive preserves the historical records of the Guinness Brewery at St. James's Gate in Dublin from 1759 to the present.
Part of our collection includes the surviving personnel records of past employees from the 1880s to when a pension payment ceased in the late 1990s, early 2000s. We hold over c. 20,000 individual employee files, accounting for c. 80% of all employee files from this period. These personnel files do not contain employee photographs.
Please fill out the form below with as much information as you have on your relative to search our family history database of past employees.
Please note: If a pension payment is being received by either an employee or spouse of an employee, the file will not be held by the Guinness Archive.
Access to personnel files of past employees is available to direct family members only. This is due to the personal nature of information often held in the files such as medical, financial and family circumstances.
If you are a direct family member and you wish to view your relative's file in the Guinness Archive, please click on the link below to make an appointment.
