Diageo Plc, parent company of Guinness Storehouse, announced today that the historic Guinness brewery at St. James’s Gate in Dublin would be substantially upgraded and consolidated, producing Guinness for the Irish and UK markets.
This development will be part of Diageo’s €650million investment in its brewing operations in Ireland to support the growth and development of our global beer brands.
Guinness Storehouse – Ireland’s number one visitor attraction will continue its development programme to accommodate growing visitor numbers, now expected to surpass one million people per annum.
Guinness Storehouse has just completed a €3.5 million investment in its structure, opening a new entrance, exit and atrium experience and is planning further capital investments for the next three years to reach its full potential as a leading international brand experience.

Guinness Storehouse is Ireland’s number one international visitor attraction, welcoming almost one million visitors per year. Housed in the old Guinness fermentation plant, this seven-storey building takes visitors through the history of Guinness, the brewing process and Guinness advertising, culminating with a complimentary pint of Guinness in the roof-top Gravity Bar with 360 degree views of Dublin city. Guinness Storehouse is also home to the Guinness Flagship Retail Store, the Guinness Company Archive, the Guinness themed Brewery Bar restaurant and the Arthur Guinness Business Centre.
