TASTING ROOMS WILL TAKE VISITORS ON SENSORY JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY
Tuesday 6th August 2013, the Guinness Storehouse officially unveiled The Tasting Rooms, the world’s most unique and innovative Guinness tasting experience located in the heart of the brewery at St. James’s Gate, Dublin. The newly developed Tasting Rooms are specifically designed for Guinness, the iconic beer with a bold and distinctive taste that has thrived and prospered for over 250 years.
Scientific and creative elements have been combined to deliver a sequence of spaces to take visitors on an experiential journey at the Home of Guinness, to heighten the senses and appreciate the distinctive taste of the iconic stout from the very first velvet sip to the last lingering drop.
Catherine Keegan, Visitor Experience Manager at the Guinness Storehouse commented on the new development: “The unveiling of The Tasting Rooms here in the Guinness Storehouse marks an exciting development into the realms of experiential and sensory tasting innovation. We’re thrilled to be bringing such a unique and alternative experience to visitors from both Ireland and across the globe. This development further enhances the breadth of our offering which we’re proud to say makes the Guinness Storehouse Ireland’s no. 1 visitor attraction.”
The Tasting Rooms joins the popular Guinness Academy and Guinness Connoisseur Bar as a brand new Guinness Storehouse experience, where guests from Ireland and across the globe can master the art of crafting the perfect pint-pour and learn to savour the distinct Guinness taste in modern and innovative setting.
A seven storey treasure trove of all things Guinness, visitors to the Guinness Storehouse can enjoy Pour the Perfect Pint Sessions in the Guinness Academy; authentic Guinness and food dishes on FIVE, and breath-taking 360° views from the Gravity Bar, the highest vantage point in the city.
