Canvas D8

The Guinness Storehouse is reopening its iconic gates this summer with a brand-new cultural experience; Canvas D8, offering a platform for culture to thrive in the heart of Dublin’s exciting Liberties district.

So, what can you expect?

World renowned street artist Aches has curated an exciting exhibition all the way from the streets of the Liberties to the peak of Gravity Bar. Take a picture at the iconic Guinness Gates, where Aches’ artwork will come to life.

D8-based artist, Claire Prouvost will join Aches, adding a series of murals to the streetscape, each depicting vibrant everyday scenes from the Liberties.

Exclusive prints of Aches work will be on sale at the Home of Guinness, with a portion of proceeds from all sales being donated to SICCDA – a charity that plays a vital role in supporting local communities throughout Dublin 8’s Liberties district.

The centrepiece of the Canvas D8 experience is a first of its kind light installation that will envelop the entire seven-floor central atrium of the Guinness Storehouse.

Inspired by Aches signature palette and mirroring the rhythm of the surge and settle of the pint of Guinness, this installation will travel through each floor to the world-renowned Gravity Bar.

Exciting local food and music experiences to be added during the summer.
