Famous Faces Who Have Visited The Guinness Storehouse

Dublin has seen its fair share of celebrities come and go through the years. A visit to the Guinness Storehouse to see the home of Ireland’s most famous export has become a popular stop for everyone from Hollywood stars to homegrown talents. We’ve taken a look back through the years at some of the well-known guests who have stopped by for a pint.

Paul Rudd

The “Ant-Man” star is no stranger to Ireland, having spent many summers during his childhood in the Republic. Though he mainly visited Cork and Sligo, his fondness for Ireland was on full display when he travelled to Dublin and toured the Guinness Storehouse in January 2009.  After learning about the process behind the magic, Rudd met with the master brewer to learn the correct way to pour a pint of the black stuff. Just as well, because it’s been reported that the Hollywood star has a secret Irish pub in the basement of his family home where Guinness is on tap.

Conan O’Brien

Conan O’Brien paid a visit to the Guinness Storehouse in 2012 where the comedian pulled a pint and cracked jokes as he went through the seven-floor experience. Like his A-List pal, Rudd, the late-night talk-show host also shares an affinity for Irish culture. O’Brien has had many trips to Ireland over the years spurred by both his fondness for Guinness and tracing his heritage from the town of Galbally in County Limerick from which his great-grandfather emigrated in the 1870s.

Rita Ora

Recently, singer, songwriter and actress, Rita Ora was in Ireland to perform a private concert for Penny’s employees in conjunction with the launch of her new fashion line. After giving a talk to the lucky few in attendance she had the time to enjoy Dublin, labelling her time there ‘so much FUN’. While in town the ‘How We Do’ and ‘Your Song’ singer made the trip to the Guinness Storehouse to get acquainted with the brewing process and of course learn how to properly drink a pint.

Dermot Kennedy

The Dublin singer-songwriter has been claiming hearts and charts with his soulful melodies and resonant lyrics. Added to the list of his prolific concerts in venues including Madison Square Garden, Kennedy made history by being the first person to perform on the roof of the Guinness Storehouse in May 2023. From starting his career busking on Grafton Street (a ritual he has continued) the performance illustrates just how far the ‘Something to Someone’ singer has come. Following the performance which saw Dubliners gathered around the street to listen, Kennedy continued his set throughout the evening inside the Gravity Bar accompanied by rising stars Gemma Dunleavy and JYellow.

Kylie Minogue

In 2018 the Australian mega-star was forced to cancel her Dublin and Belfast concerts due to a throat infection that left her unable to perform. Fans were left devastated but true to her word that she would return, Kylie rescheduled her concerts with an added extra bonus for her audience. Every ticket holder was entitled to free admission to the Guinness Storehouse along with a complementary pint of Guinness (of course, limited to those 18 years and older). Kylie naturally paid a visit to the Storehouse too and enjoyed a pint herself.
